Construction Update 10-11-19

Park District

The Abbot

Work is underway for the Level 8 deck concrete pour. Masonry work is progressing on the ground level. Wall framing, elevator work and the installation of the exterior skin on level two and three is underway. Work on the covered pedestrian walkway along Grand River Ave. is completed and the walkway opened on Wednesday (10/09).

The Graduate Hotel

This week at the Graduate Hotel a concrete pour for the north portion of the level 2 post tension deck took place on Monday (10/07) with the stressing of the deck on Thursday (10/10). Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Trades are onsite.

Albert Ave. Road Closure Between Abbot Rd. and Evergreen Ave.

On Monday (09/23), underground infrastructure work began on Albert Ave., between Abbot Rd. and Evergreen Ave. This work requires the closure of Albert Ave. between Abbot Rd. and Evergreen Ave. Traffic heading southbound on Abbot Rd. will be detoured via Oakhill Ave. Traffic headed westbound on Albert Ave., will be detoured Abbot Rd. to Grand River, or Abbot Rd. to Oakhill Ave. Traffic heading southbound on Evergreen Ave. will be directed to Valley Court Drive to Delta.

Center City

The 12 story Landmark Building is complete.

The Newman Lofts building is nearing completion and a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy has been issued. Residents have moved into the apartments. The parking deck is open and accessible to the public. Tenant spaces on the ground level are progressing with various general contractors completing this work. Fosters Coffee is now open.

The Hub @ East Lansing

Work on the alley located behind the building will be finished this weekend. On Saturday (10/12) morning, there will be asphalt work near Bogue and in the alley. The landscaping around the alley will be finished up next week (10/14).
