Construction Update 11-02-18
Center City
On the Albert Building, the third pour for level 4 West is scheduled for today, as it catches up with the East side. A level 6 pour is scheduled early next week for the east side. Masonry piers have been constructed on the north side and masonry walls and partitions are being installed in the alley and in the interior of the building.
On the Grand River side, a pour was completed yesterday for level 10 west, as level 9 east walls are installed. Rough plumbing and electrical work has made its way to levels 4 and 5 in the interior, as exterior panels have begun being installed and windows make their way to level 6 on the Grand River side. Plans are in place to extend the buck hoist (exterior) elevator to level 10 in the near future.
The Hub @ East Lansing
Resteel and post tension is nearly complete in the 3rd section of level 3. Pour number three on level 3 is scheduled for Tuesday, 11/06. Placement of structural stud walls on the third floor continues and the first 3rd of level 4 will be poured Friday, 11/02. Metal stairs have been prepped and poured up to level 3. Concrete placement will continue on a regular basis, utilizing closed roads or the alley directly adjacent to the project to minimize impacts to traffic/pedestrians. Deliveries will continue to increase, as Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Suppression trades continue roughing in the garage and first floor, beginning to work their way up the building. Backfill of the foundations is nearing completion, reducing dump truck and earthmoving equipment traffic in and around the site.
The contractor continues to monitor the site for safety and implement additional traffic control techniques as necessary based on delivery volumes.
