Lane & Sidewalk Closures on Grand River Thursday, 7/5/18

On Thursday, westbound Grand River will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the 100-200 block of East Grand River (from M.A.C. to Abbot). The sidewalk directly adjacent to the project (along Grand River) will also be closed. Pedestrian detours will be in place to allow access to all businesses. The closure of two lanes and the sidewalk is necessary in order to safely make upgrades/ connections to utilities to service the new building being constructed as part of the Center City development. This work is expected to last for approximately one month. The contractor is working with MDOT and a transportation company to implement a traffic control plan that meet the state standards.
