As expected, construction has begun on the Center City project with the foundation work now well underway. This should continue to be the main focus for several weeks as over 500 auger cast piles are installed throughout the project area.

City staff is monitoring area roadways to ensure proper cleanup occurs, especially as weather changes can cause muddy conditions that need to be managed properly. The construction company continues to examine the site to mitigate any impacts to the local community.

In observance of the Holidays, no work will occur on Christmas or New Years day. As a reminder, normal construction hours in East Lansing are Monday through Saturday, 7am-8pm.
