Demo Continues with Sidewalk Closure Next Week

The demolition of the Center City buildings and Albert Street parking lot is now fully underway, and is expected to continue into December. Although the construction company is working to mitigate impacts, some noise, vibration and dust can be expected.

On the morning of Monday, November 27, the sidewalks on Grand River Ave, directly in front of the project area, will be closed as planned. This closure is necessary to maintain public safety, and is expected to last no longer than 30 days. Access to businesses on Grand River will be maintained at all times, and pedestrian detour signs will be installed.

In addition to demolition next week, plans are in place for the relocation of the art piece currently in the Albert Street parking lot. It will be moved to storage for safe keeping prior to it's permanent relocation.
