Construction Updates August 13, 2021

City of East Lansing, Downtown Development Authority Properties: 314, 328, 334 Evergreen

The interior abatement is complete. Utilities disconnects are expected to be completed between August 16 and 18. There will be partial alley closure behind 328 and 334 on August 16 and 18 with access from the south, and partial alley closure behind 314 on August 18 with access from the north. The exterior structural demo is anticipated to take place August 17 through 27. The alley closure will be necessary during demo of 314. Alley access to remain from north.

MSUFCU Project: 311 Abbot Rd.

Permanent fencing will be installed within the next two weeks by 8/27. There will be sidewalk closures on Abbot Rd and Albert Ave. Alley closures will follow soon after limiting access from south side. Alley access will still be available from the north side. The Parking lot/sidewalk demolition will follow fencing installation beginning the week of August 23. Earth retention system is anticipated to begin after pavement and sidewalk demolition. Demolition of these hard surfaces should take approximately two weeks. Deep foundation contractor to mobilize onsite in early September.
