MSUFCU East Lansing Building Located at 311 Abbot

The deep foundations contractor completed the installation of the deep foundations and plans to remove one machine from the site Thursday, December 9. The other machine will be removed shortly after. Installation of the concrete footings and foundations has begun with excavating the locations for the elevators, and will take 5-6 weeks. Installation of the underground plumbing and electrical within the building footprint will coincide with the concrete foundation installation. The southbound lane closure on Abbot Rd. has been reinstalled and will remain installed for the foreseeable future.

The westbound lane closure on Albert Ave., between Abbot Rd. and Evergreen Ave., will take place Tuesday, December 14, and remain in effect for the foreseeable future. The south access to the alley off Albert Ave. will be limited for safety reasons due to construction machinery traveling between the building site and laydown area. The south alley access will be reinstated at the end of every workday. The north access to the alley will be open all day.
