Construction Update 11-15-18
West Grand River Ave. Underground Utility Work and Lane Closures Beginning Monday (11/18)
Due to weather delays the week of 11/08/19, the underground utility work did not take place. The underground utility work is scheduled to begin on Monday (11/18) in the 100 block of west Grand River Ave. The following lanes closures will be in effect starting at Abbot Road.
11/18 – 11/22 The center and right lanes of west Grand River Ave. will be closed.
Delays are expected, an alternate route is advised.
Park District
The Abbot
This week concrete pours, wall framing, and window installation continues to progress up the building. The buck hoist is in place but not operational at this time. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades are on site and moving up to level 5. Masonry contractors will be on site the week of 11/18.
The Graduate Hotel
Concrete pours continue on the project. Metal panels will be installed as the project makes its way upward. Steel and other building materials are being delivered to the site, as the project continues to progress. The crane will be removed from the site during the week of (11/18) to make way for underground utility work. The crane will return to the site on 12/7.
