Construction Update 11-01-19
Underground Utility Work – Abbot Rd. and Albert Ave.
The underground utility work at the intersection of Abbot Rd. and Albert Ave. should be concluding early this evening. Abbot Road and Albert Ave. will re-open to traffic.
West Grand River Ave. Underground Utility Work and Lane Closures Beginning Monday (11/04)
Underground utility work will shift to the 100 block of west Grand River Ave. beginning Monday, (11/04). The following lanes closures will be in effect starting at Abbot Road.
11/04 – 11/08: The left and center lanes of West Grand River Ave. will be closed.
11/09 - 11/10: Work will be suspended for the weekend.
11/11 – 11/15 The center and right lanes of west Grand River Ave. will be closed.
Delays are expected, an alternate route is advised.
Park District
The Abbot
This week a concrete pour took place on level 9 with additional concrete pours for level 9 scheduled for next week. The buck hoist is in place but not operational at this time. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades are on site. Wall framing and window installation continues to progress up the building.
The Graduate Hotel
Concrete pours continue on the project. Metal panels will be installed as the project makes its way upward. Work on the underground utilities on site is nearly completion, with slab-on-grade concrete pours anticipated for the near future. Steel and other building materials are being delivered to the site, as the project continues to progress.
