Night Crane 5/14 and Albert Closure Today

The Hub @ East Lansing – Night Work Postponed

Night work to install the tower crane has been delayed one week, and is now anticipated to begin May 14, 2018. This work will involve the closure of two eastbound lanes of Grand River Avenue during the nighttime hours beginning Monday night (5/14), and is expected to take place nightly through Thursday (5/17). This closure was approved by MDOT in order to ensure the safe delivery and installation of materials for the tower crane. Eastbound traffic will be able to continue through the turning lane through their approved traffic containment plan.

Center City

Reminder, the construction site is expanding into Albert Ave starting today, Monday, May 7, 2018, for underground utility/ public infrastructure work. As noted previously, this work will involve a closure of vehicular traffic on Albert between the west side of Grove Street to Abbot Road for about six weeks while the underground public utilities are updated, new sidewalks are installed, and the roadway and walkways are resurfaced/ replaced. Pedestrian and business access will be maintained as the work takes place. A closure map is available at: https://www.eastlansingbuzz.org/traffic-maps.
