Center City Construction

This week construction trades hours reached the 35,000 mark as the last of the first floor columns are installed. Work is underway on the second story in anticipation of concrete being poured into place soon, as weather allows. The covered walkways along Grand River and in a private alley to the east of the project were completed last week, and are now expected to remain for most of the construction period.

The Hub at East Lansing Construction

Excavation and foundation work at the Hub project, at the corner of Grand River and Bogue Street is well underway. For public safety reasons, Cedar Street has been closed from Grand River Avenue to alley north of the project site. The easternmost lane of Bogue street is also closed from the alley to Grand River Avenue. These closures, along with pedestrian and motorist detours, are scheduled to be in place until June, 2019.
