1-07-2022 Construction Updates
MSUFCU East Lansing Building at 311 Abbot Rd.
Installation of the exterior concrete foundations and walls is ongoing with installation of the interior foundations and spread footings. Waterproofing of the foundations will be taking place but is dependent on the cold temperatures. The underground plumbing and mechanical lines are being installed. Underground electrical within the building footprint will begin shortly. Structural steel and precast panels are currently scheduled to be installed in the second or third week of January. On Friday, January 7, we will be installing small scale precast panels as a mockup for installation on the building. This mockup will be installed on the DDA property to the west of the construction site.
The lane closure on Abbot Rd. has been reinstated and will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. The westbound lane closure on Albert St. has been installed and will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. Access to the alley off of Albert St. will remain open. Stop signs have been installed in the alley as there is construction traffic traveling between the construction site and the laydown area on the DDA property.
